Hospitality and Safety

The North Broad Renaissance is creating a layered approach to hospitality and safety, recognizing that the two go hand and hand. It includes implementing focused programming that will enhance safety and address the issues of mental illness, trauma, and homelessness, all while ensuring we provide a friendly and welcoming environment for the North Broad community.

“The NBR believes in a layered approach to community hospitality, considers a diverse set of needs, and includes a continuum approach and a behind the scene support system.”

Hospitality and Safety Services

The North Broad Renaissance Quality Ambassador Program is a part of our paid volunteer program. Quality Service Ambassadors support our outreach efforts by serving as a friendly presence at a specific section of North Broad Street. They provide check-ins with local businesses, and help us ensure that the corridor is well-maintained and welcoming. Their many responsibilities include:

Hospitality

Creating a hospitable presence on the streets.

Quality Service Ambassadors

Patrolling designated areas on foot as “eyes and ears” of the community, reporting quality of life issues, and making sure their designated areas get the attention it deserves.

Homeless Assistance

Assisting homeless individuals and others in need and attempting to connect such persons to services or housing.

Business Outreach and Support

Visiting various businesses along North Broad Street to assist with business needs, answer questions, and share valuable information to North Broad businesses.
