Creating the Narrative for North Broad

North Broad is a in a privileged position. It’s becoming a key district for investments and development and we’re still in the early stages to help ensure that this narrative of growth includes the full community.

The North Broad Renaissance (NBR) works hard to advocate for and support those living, working, visiting, developing, and investing in the District. Most importantly, we are playing our part to be a part of the solution.

A Summer aBroad

North Broad Street is the perfect stage for placemaking! With more than 30,000 cars a day and 200,000 SEPTA riders, we have an opportunity and responsibility to create aesthetically pleasing, safe, and dynamic places for people to enjoy. This is why each summer the NBR activates the corridor with fun pop-ups that increase foot-traffic, support our businesses, and bring together the community.

A Broader Green: Earth Month Service Project

The North Broad Renaissance (NBR) is focused on equity in green space and open spaces because green spaces can improve the health and well-being of communities, and help fight against the dangerous effects of the heat island that exists along North Broad Street. A Broader Green is more than just a service project, it’s an opportunity to bring awareness to the importance of green space in urban communities.

#ThinkBroad Podcast

The North Broad Renaissance understands that we must have a multi-level approach to marketing and communications. Getting valuable information that could support business growth and overall neighborhood revitalization is key. The #ThinkBroad Podcast is a series of conversations with high-profile guests sharing information on improving the business climate, creating job equity, and ultimately transforming North Broad Street into a successful, vibrant, and highly desirable corridor for the business community.

2026 on North Broad

2026 is going to be a summer of economic growth for our city, and we want North Broad to be a part of the conversation. As a result, the North Broad Renaissance is working with partners and organizers so we can attract visitors to the corridor and make sure North Broad businesses and the community can benefit from Philadelphia’s booming hospitality and tourism market.
